School District of Spring Valley's Strategic Plan
Recap of the 2026 Community Conversation

On April 16–18, the School District of Spring Valley hosted a Community Conversation bringing together students, parents, staff, and community members to reflect on our history, discuss current efforts, and identify priorities for the future.
The three-day, discussion-based format fostered unity and pride while encouraging open, respectful dialogue across diverse perspectives. Together, participants modeled a constructive approach to addressing complex issues and strengthening our schools.
Thank you to everyone who took part. Your input along with the responses from the community survey are helping shape the priorities that will guide our District forward. Please see the links below for a summary of the results, event photos, and updates on the strategic plan as it develops and is implemented.

We are excited to introduce the Strategic Plan Design Team!
This team is made up of Spring Valley community members who reflect the diverse perspectives, experiences, and roles within our district. Parents, students, staff, local leaders, and community partners have come together with one shared purpose: shaping the future of our schools.
In April, the Design Team will host a three-day event focused on meaningful conversation and collaboration. Together, we will gather input and ideas to help develop our district’s five-year strategic plan and create a clear, shared vision for the future of Spring Valley schools.
This is an opportunity for our community to have a voice in where we’re headed and how we will support every student in the years to come. We look forward to sharing more details soon and hope you’ll join the conversation!
